Elderly Activities Planning
Art Dreamers is a local art platform established in 2013 with the philosophy of promoting local artists and creative people. They provide professional mural painting services and courses, and have provided services to hospitals, nursing homes, non-profit organizations, schools and businesses.
Art Dreamers’ senior classes are very important for the elderly. These classes not only allow the elderly to enjoy the fun of art, but also relieve stress and gain mental relief. In modern society, the elderly face many pressures and challenges, such as loneliness, health problems, and time arrangements after retirement. Art classes can provide a meaningful and enriching activity to help them maintain physical and mental health, increase social interactions, and improve the quality of life.
Art Dreamers has collaborated with many social welfare organizations, including The Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong, St. James' Settlement, Po Leung Kuk, The Lok Sin Tong Tong, YMCA, YWCA, The Regeneration Society, Caritas Hospital, Tuen Mun Hospital, Pok Oi Hospital and Hong Chi Association. These collaborations enable more elderly people to have the opportunity to participate in art activities and gain spiritual satisfaction and opportunities for social interaction.
Art Dreamers’ philosophy is to provide professional art services and courses by promoting local artists and creative people, and is committed to enabling the elderly to gain opportunities for stress relief, spiritual relaxation and social interaction through participating in art activities. Their cooperative welfare organization enables these activities to cover a wider group, which is of great significance to the well-being and quality of life of the elderly.
Artdreamers integrates art elements into hospitals not only to beautify the environment, but also to create a safe and comfortable treatment space for patients. The murals in the medical and geriatric isolation wards of Caritas Hospital are designed to provide patients with a pleasant environment to relieve the negative emotions they may experience during isolation.
